Digitizing Haiti’s Secured Transactions: DTN and World Bank Transform Movable Assets Registration with the DRSM Project

https://drsm.dgi.gouv.ht/

The Haiti DRSM (Registre des Suretés Mobilières de Haiti) project represents a major leap in digitizing the registration process for secured transactions involving movable assets in Haiti. Through a collaboration between DTN, the World Bank, and the Haitian General Department of Taxation, this initiative empowers businesses and individuals to register movable assets—such as vehicles, equipment, and inventory—as collateral in a streamlined, accessible manner.

Leveraging advanced .NET technology, this project provides a user-friendly application that replaces traditional paperwork with an efficient, digital solution. By enabling swift and secure registration of movable assets, the DRSM system fosters greater financial inclusion, allowing more citizens and small enterprises to gain access to credit.

This initiative is an important milestone for Haiti’s economic development, opening new avenues for financing by making it easier for businesses to use their assets as collateral. The system not only simplifies the registration process but also strengthens legal transparency, supporting both local economic growth and the trust of international investors.
